In the midst of all this bickering over the wins/disqualifications /and attire at the Olympic Games maybe we can all get back to the reality of life and death, rather than what, if anything, is hanging around our necks! Sorry, but the extraneous trappings of the games REALLY irritate me! While our attention has been hopefully only temporarily distracted from the disaster in Haiti, we are now brought back down to earth by an 8.8 quake in Chile. Although Chile is definitely in a much better position to deal with an earthquake than Haiti, the devastation is no less chilling. With all our technological advancements we are still at the mercy of the elements. We realize how very small we are when this kind of event happens. Maybe we should remember that humility and carry it with us always...we might approach things very differently if that were the case...but hey!...what do I know!?
I am a single mother fighting fibromyalgia, heart disease, depression, and social anxiety. This page allows me to talk about politics, the state of the world, my passions and dreams about building a tiny house, without ever having to leave my home...how GREAT is that! Welcome!
